Demystifying Psychosocial Risk in the Workplace

The words "psychosocial risk" have become prolific over the last year in the NZ safety community. A byproduct of our close neighbours in Aussie using new regulations to create a spotlight. How can NZ Safety professionals address such an intangible risk through safety practices and what is this anyway?

Join Learning Teams Inc. to hear the approach on how using a few different techniques can help you to not only understand but also create changes to deliver supportive and mentally health work. Diane will share the experiences in applying Betterwork principles and cover:
- What is psychosocial risk? Exploring using a new view lens.
- How expanding your safety tool kit using the new view (HOP, Safety differently, Safety II) can create visibility to psychosocial risk in your operations.
- Why learning from everyday work is fundamental when approaching these types of risk.

About the Presenter:
Diane is an experienced practitioner of "Doing Safety Differently", organisational change management and operational improvement coach and mentor. Diane is the Project Lead, Coach and Facilitator of the Fullers Maritime Project Order, which is the largest implementation of Learning Teams (Safety Differently) across a sector.

She is also the WorkSafe NZ Enforceable Undertaking with EnviroNZ, which is a waste industry initiative applying WorkSafe NZ's Safety Differently Lens called BetterWork.
